Good news, around 75 to 80 % of the movie is done, so if I can work fast enough I will be able to submit it before returning to school.

Thanks to somebody from my school I tried Blender, an open source 3D rendering program. With it I was able to create some scenes that looks really good, way better that what I could do using Wings 3D (The screenshot below is a still from a raytraced scene made in Blender, don't ask me how much time it took just to render it.). I already have 108 seconds of raytraced 3D animation (I don't count what I already made in Wings 3D).

This means that Yoki's Story 5 will have a lot of 3D effects, more than the 4 previous episodes combined. Because of that the filesize of the movie is already over the 10 megabyte limit (12.9 mb for the moment). I am not sure if I will ask for a favor or sacrifice the quality of the movie. If you have recommendation on how to keep it small it would be great, but I don't want to waste your time with a problem like this.

So now that this is said I just want to wish to everybody on Newgrounds a happy new year.

No, the project is not dead, but since I made no post about it, some people probably think that I don't work anymore on it. I only made around five minutes of animation, but I prefer a short movie with a lot of work than a really long one with nothing important. I am not sure about when it will be done, so for those who wait for it, here's a list of things about the episode 5 that changed from the previous episodes or that is completely new.

- A photographic filter was used on sprite sheets to get better color effects.
- Sprite sheets are not separated into single sprites images, but are now transferred in a single image.
- Most backgrounds are 3D rendered, using real texture instead of sprites.
- 4 pre-rendered CGI effects using MP4 codec.
- New light and reflection effects instead of just a flat shading.
- V-cam is not used to avoid CPU overload during action scenes.
- Most blurring effects are pre-rendered.

Yesterday was my birthday and I got a Wiimote to hack but it's not about it that I want to talk.

It's that my movie is still not online, it's because that I got a lot of problems for lasts weeks. First of all I returned to school so I needed to start my "Projet intégrateur" which is some sort of "choose what to do as a school project then do it while explaining what you do then present it so younger people" evidently I choosed to make a flash movie so it interfere with Newgrounds. Then there is that I started submitting "Instructables" for a "Do it yourself" website that takes a lot of time to do (

So the release date is still not for the moment but it will be before the end of the month.

I'm 17 now ! (and some information about my Luigi's project)

I still need people that could help me for making my characters talk, I know that it is not the best time to ask it but I just finished the movie and I need voices for it before the end of the year.

I am about to finish my flash movie and I need voice actors for the characters. I really want to submit it before the end of the year so I could work after on Yoki's Story 5.

I would need some people who could make voices for :

- A narrator
- Mario and Luigi
- Sonic
- A green and a red koopa

Don't worry your work will be credited and you will be co-authored on the submission page. Just PM me if you can it would help me a lot.

I am working on my project and I wanted to show you a screen shot of my work.

As you can see some koopas are pixelised because of an high CPU usage causing slowdowns when too much vectorial characters are displayed at the same times.

I needed to shorten some scenes too but it won't change so much the final result.

Because of our 4 days trip to New York I will not be able to work on my flash movie because I forgot to transfer the .fla on my laptop but I just have a few scenes left to do and some things to fix before submitting it.

Just to say that I made 7430 frames at 60 fps of my video.

It is made in flash 8 and I am using characters drawn by hand then recolored using a palette of colors from Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Here's a quick list of things that there will be in the completed video.
- 3D effects (mostly backgrounds)
- Fight scenes
- Video games parody
- Motion captured scenes
- EXPLOSIONS !!!
- And a lot of nonsense ...

It is not a joke, I don't want to make more sprites movies for the moment. I tried to make a fan art about Mario using flash and I liked it (http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/pl ayer-exe/sorry-mario-but) so I will try to make animation too.

I am working on a movie about Luigi but I will draw by myself the characters and the backgrounds.

Yoshi the Yoshi 2 is cancelled !!!

I finally found the way to use shared objects in my game. It mean that you can save your progress in the game and continue later without needing to remember passwords. I will use the same system to save progress and settings in my next game Yoshi the Yoshi 2.

If you have any idea of something I could put in my next game just ask me and I will try to put it in my game(I will give you credits for the idea).

To do :
- Make Mario's control {done}
- Make Yoshi's attacks {done}
- Make objects (1-up, shells, extras)
- Make levels {5/17}
- Make menus {Main menu done}
- Make game over screen {3 are done}
- Make introduction (done)
- Make ending
